A bit about me

My playing days are largely in the past but I enjoy all sports and have a season ticket for Arsenal, which is enjoyable some of the time! Other than that, five grandchildren take up some of my time but I also enjoy reading, cycling and getting out and about in London.

Experience

I am lucky enough to have done a bit of most things pension-wise. I worked in finance as a Corporate Treasurer in the oil industry for many years and stumbled into pensions when I became a Member Nominated Trustee for my Company DB scheme in 2005, subsequently becoming Chair of the Trustee Board. The pension scheme became a hot topic during the protracted sales negotiations when the US parent decided to sell the UK Company.

Subsequent roles at The Pensions Advisory Service (now part of MaPS), a non-executive role at Nest Corporation, Governance Manager for the National Grid gas scheme and consulting roles round off my varied pensions career.
